Better Effiong, my 14-year-old foster daughter, must think I’m a magician. On 28th December, someone in my household lost or misplaced an Android phone, causing scenarios that threw or threatened to throw some of us into mood swings. On 28th December was the first of three running hallowed days for me every year. This is the period my faith celebrates the FESTIVAL OF THE RADIANT STAR. This is the STAR from PARADISE which stood over the stable in Bethlehem where Baby Jesus was born as a greeting from the FATHER. It is Christmas anew for human souls who open themselves at this time to an outpouring of love from on High at this high point of the Christmas festival.

As the phone question caused infectious mood swings, I kept asking myself: HOW MUCH IS A PHONE THAT IT WOULD DEPRIVE ME OF THE JOY and STRENGTHENING Ray’s of these days which I have been privileged to enjoy since 1977? On the afternoon of 29th, I called one of my friends, SIMEON EKOR, who is at the radiant star festival retreat to wish him a fulfilling festival in the knowledge that he would wish me the same experience, which he did. A fulfilling festival is one that affords the participant the inner strength to not only discover but also focus on the purpose of his or her existence and to fulfil it.

After the festival greetings with Ekor, I turned to Better, who was at the receiving end of the Phone lost or misplacement billows and told her it would rain in Lagos on 29th…and why. It was to be a shower of blessings. Then, I retired to my room upstairs to pray. At about 3.20 pm, when the high festival often ends, the aluminium roof of my house resonated with the sound of raindrops. I jumped out of bed, removed my top dress, got my pair of bathroom slippers, rushed down the stairs and into the grounds of the house, to be touched by this high festival day raindrops. Better sprang after me, exclaiming her surprise that rain fell as I had suggested it would. She enjoys stream and rain bathing and was on the same page with me today, after yesterday’s near blackout. With grateful thanks to the Highest for the grace of this festival and its material blessing with the element of water in this AQUARIAN AGE, tomorrow 30th will be the after festival day. But the blessings and strengthening of the faith, deeper understanding of Christmas and the high mission of the son of God to the earth will linger, we pray, eternally in our ever-unfolding spirits…AMEN…
